Living In Fear

Here I sit, close to a hydrant. Too close? I dont know. Who knows, I dont know that either. Is it 5 feet, 10 feet, a cars distance? The police know. With each passing cop comes the fear. Is this the one. Is it back to that pound in queens where I will sit for eternity. I dont know, so I live in fear.
